Team bio: Bob Duffy
Bob offers more than twenty-five years experience as a writer, communications strategist, and workshop leader for national organizations. As founder and Managing Consultant at Brand Vistas, Bob provides creative, strategic planning, and organizational development services to organizations nationwide, and has implemented his Value Platform brand development methodology for scores of such organizations. He is also the principal author of Confluence, Brand Vistas' web log for corporate and institutional decision makers.
A former Vice President at TMP Worldwide, Bob has led teams that developed communications and branding solutions for Intelistaf Health Care, Dominion Power, Verizon Communications, GE Space Systems, the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Monster.com, among others.
Bob has led strategy, research, and creative outreach projects for the ITT Corporation, the Siemens Corporation, the Brown Shoe Company, the Corning Corporation, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), American Management Systems (AMS), the World Bank, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), and DTE Energy. For the U.S. Army Reserve, he developed and led a survey program that gathered extensive data on attitudes and states-of-mind from 40,000 activated reservists as they departed for --and later as they returned from-- overseas deployments.
Invited to serve as a consultant and selection advisor to both the White House's Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and the U.S. Navy Recruiting Command, Mr. Duffy was a member of ‘pitch’ evaluation teams that awarded hundreds of millions in outreach dollars to consumer advertising and media agencies. His contributions to the Navy recruiting earned him an FY2000 Achievement award from the Navy Department.
Mr. Duffy also designed the campaigns and wrote the submissions that resulted in the first-time inclusion (in different years) of both American Management Systems (AMS) and Booz Allen Hamilton on Working Mother magazine’s Best Places to Work lists.
